Two in one day!

This layout has tons and tons of elements.  I especially loved the pin that looks like it's going through the heart.  It does still take a while to do these pages but I am convinced that practice will make them much easier and faster than traditional scrapbooking.  I plan to make all these pages hybrid by adding some scrapbook elements (heaven knows I have to do something with the million things I have!).  It is pretty clear though that digital is definitely the way to get caught up!

I took these pictures of Kaitlynn and Maddie on Halloween.  Aren't they just gorgeous!!!  LOL!!  (Okay, so maybe I am a little biased!).

DAY TWO.... MAYBE I CAN DO THIS AFTER ALL!

I am going to try (once again) to do at least one layout a day.  Wouldn't that be great!!!  365 pages in a year!  And that year goes by so very VERY fast!

I'm back!

Haven't done anything digital in a while. It's amazing how you forget so quickly!!! This is definitely one of those things you have to do continuously! This layout took me FOREVER but I am quite happy with it.

Gotta love this Digital Stuff!!! LOL!!!

I had the hardest time with this simple layout!!! Every time I went to type text into the "sun" it typed the words in the circle text!!! It was making me nuts and nothing I did worked! Finally I got some advice from Tori, a wonderful wonderful person at Jessica Sprague. com! All I had to do was "turn off" the layer where the circle text was typed into and type into the sun. When the text in the sun (It's a Party) was done, I just turned the circle text layer back on!!! It is so annoying when something you just could not figure out turns out to be so simple!!! LOL!!

Oh well, like I've said before... it's a process.

Friday the 13th!

What a day! I don't ever give credence to "Friday the 13th" but today make me wonder!

At least I got one page done!

COLORING DETAILS ON BLACK AND WHITE PHOTO

I have always loved the look of these pictures and have wanted to learn how to do it. It was a lot easier than I expected it to be. I will do another one tomorrow to make sure I got it down but I'm quite happy with the results!

I learned to do this with Jessica Sprague's mini-class Photo Shop Friday #5. I really think she is an amazing teacher and somehow makes everything seem easy!

I highly recommend her Photoshop Friday Series. They are inexpensive and you get everything you need for the layout. Can't beat that!

TODAY'S LAYOUTS

Well, I DID plan on doing at least one every day but I've been so darned busy I couldn't!!! Here are the two I did today!

This one was really great because you actually MAKE the banner and then fill it in with paper. You make the triangles! How cool is that? Learn something every day! But it sure is a process!!!

GETTING STARTED ON THIS NEW JOURNEY!

Despite the fact that I only started this blog yesterday, I have tons of ideas about where to go with this new adventure!! I have had a wonderful offer from my friend Val to design some digital goodies and some tutorial videos!! Thanks Val!!!

For those of you who don't know her, Val is the owner of one of the best Yahoo groups I've ever been a part of THE SUM OF ALL ATCS and whose blog is totally amazing, with tutorials and free images and lots and lots of goodness! Please stop by her blog! You will become a fan!

TIP FOR THE DAY:

I am taking tons of online classes with JESSICA SPRAGUE and can't even START to tell you how much I LOVE them!!! If you are a beginner like me, I unequivocally recommend her class UP AND RUNNING WITH PHOTOSHOP CLASS 1. YOU WONT REGRET IT!!! Jessica makes digital scrapbooking seem easy!! LOL!!! Here'a a little video about the class.

Jessica also has this wonderful series called PhotoShop Fridays where you make a layout using different techniques and tricks, and they come out, you guesses it, on Fridays although you can do the class whenever you want. They are really cheap (usually about $4) and include all the digi paper, designs and elements you need to complete the layout. They are fast (takes about 30 minutes) and you learn ALOT!
